Is Franco Uomo Still in Palo Alto? Our Next Chapter After Stanford Shopping Center
Franco Uomo storefront at Stanford Shopping Center in Palo Alto
Yes. Franco Uomo is moving on from Stanford Shopping Center, but we're not leaving Palo Alto.
Our clients here are some of the most driven people in the Bay Area. Founders, engineers, investors, and executives whose time is the most valuable thing they own. So instead of asking you to make time for us, we're bringing the atelier to you.
Two homes in two years
Palo Alto gave us two ateliers we're proud of. First at Town & Country Village, then at Stanford Shopping Center. Both put us closer to clients who had been making the drive to Santana Row for years, and introduced us to so many new ones.
Being at Stanford Shopping Center put us among some of the most respected names in luxury, from Hermès, Louis Vuitton, and Cartier to Chanel's new boutique and Neiman Marcus down the walkway. It was a fitting home for a custom atelier, and a reminder of how much Palo Alto values craftsmanship.

A lot of the people who came through our doors had never owned a suit made for them. They'd built companies and led teams, but their wardrobe never got the same attention. Helping them step into custom business formal and formal wear, cut from Loro Piana, Scabal, Dormeuil, Holland & Sherry, and Fox Brothers, was the best part of being here.
Some came in for a wedding. Some for a keynote, a board meeting, or a raise they were about to ask for. Many came back.

Familiar faces in Franco
Over the last two years, our Palo Alto chapter dressed some of the Bay Area's most interesting people for their biggest moments.
Here are a couple of our favorites.
Waigal is the creator behind NOSH, sharing authentic Afghan and fusion recipes with a following that took him all the way to Season 4 of PBS' The Great American Recipe. Most recently he spoke at the Afghan American Community conference at UCLA, and gave the room a first taste of Tund, the Afghan inspired chili oil he's about to launch. Huge moment, and he showed up for it in his favorite Franco Uomo sport coat. Great to see Waigal building something new, and we're glad we could make sure he looked his best doing it.
Vas is one of the Bay Area's most visible champions of small and legacy businesses, serving as Director of Next SF and Chair of SF Thessaloniki. When the #WeLoveSF Gala called for creative black tie at this year's Portrait of a City celebration, Vas came dressed in Franco Uomo and looked every bit the part. Great to see him out front celebrating the people who make San Francisco special, and we're glad we got him there looking his best.
The lesson Palo Alto taught us
Our clients here don't have afternoons to spare. A fitting meant stepping out of meetings, sitting on El Camino, and circling for parking. That's not the experience we want anyone to have with Franco Uomo.
Tailoring should work around your life. Not the other way around.
"For two years, our clients came to us. Now it's our turn to go to them."
