Services & Fees

one Franco Uomo man in suits standing at the entrance of a store called 'Franco Uomo' that sells men's clothing, with mannequins dressed in suits visible inside.

Franco Uomo is not a traditional retail store.
We are one part boutique, one part style consultancy, one part tailoring house — and most of what we make doesn't exist until you commission it.

Here's what to know before you begin: how our service works, what carries a fee, and how your stylist will guide your commission from first sketch to final fitting.

Q&A

Does Franco Uomo offer any discounts?

We don't — not without compromising the product and service that set us apart. Your order is à la carte: you choose what to add to your look and what to leave off. There are many less expensive ways to buy a suit. We're confident that once you see and feel ours, the value speaks for itself. We respect your decision as much as we ask you to respect our quality.

What are the Express Fees?

Our standard turnaround time for a Custom Signature Suit is 6 to 8 weeks.

For clients requiring faster delivery, we offer express service options based on your requested timeline. An express fee will apply as follows:

11–13 Days – 45% Express Fee

14–20 Days – 35% Express Fee

21–30 Days – 30% Express Fee

Please note: We reserve the right to determine the feasibility of each express order based on our current production volume, the complexity of the suit, and the time needed for any post-arrival alterations. Our team will provide guidance on the best possible timeline during your consultation.

What happens if I am not happy with my design?

Franco Uomo is Silicon Valley's only Bespoke Couture custom clothing boutique. As we say: there is nothing within the limits of fabric and thread that we cannot do. Your stylist will walk you through every option in designing your Custom Signature Suit and look. Occasionally we'll schedule a follow-up to source a specific fabric; if you have one in mind, we'll confirm we can get it before we begin. Your stylist will make recommendations, but the final garment is designed by you, to your liking.

What happens if my fabric is out of stock?

We make every effort to confirm your fabric during your appointment. If we aren't confident a fabric will be available, your stylist will have you choose a backup so your design can proceed, and we'll notify you of any change before production. If your order depends on a specific fabric we ultimately cannot obtain and have no suitable alternative, we'll cancel and refund it in full — see Exchanges & Cancellations for the full policy.

What if I want to cancel my Custom Order?

We understand that circumstances can change. If you decide to cancel your custom order and the fabric has not yet been cut, we can process a cancellation and provide a refund minus a 5% Cancellation Fee. However, once the fabric has been cut and production has begun, we are unable to cancel or refund the order. Please contact us as soon as possible if you wish to make any changes.

What if I want to change my design?

Any design change requests received after an order is submitted will be sent to our production team. We are unable to guarantee that any changes will be made and we may not be able to confirm that a change has been made until your garment arrives.

What happens if my order comes out wrong?

Franco Uomo has a strict Quality Control process that catches nearly all errors that arise in the production process. We consider every custom order to be a contract between you and your stylist that must be fulfilled to your satisfaction and we will make every effort possible to correct your order to the design specification and your liking.

What if I don’t like my stylist?

On some days, we don’t like each other either. If you are unhappy with a particular stylist, please feel free to request that a different stylist help you in the future.

Please feel free to text our Concierge at (408) 247-2121 or contact our Communications Director at matthew@francouomo.com.

What if I don’t like the Communications Director either?

The common denominator is you.
